He leads HBA`s National Health Law Practice. “The great strength of our system is that it is `bottom-up` – everyone who is recognised by the Order of Australia has been appointed by someone else, considered as part of an independent process and celebrated by our nation today,” he said. “It is important that the Order of Australia represents Australia`s diversity and strength – for this to happen, we must ensure that exceptional women, members of our multicultural community and First Nations are appointed by their colleagues in the community. I prioritize growing awareness and commitment to the Order of Australia among groups that have historically been under-represented. We are seeing positive progress and I am determined that it will continue.
To the people who are recognized today, including Linda and I look forward to meeting many over the next year, thank you for your service and congratulations on the recognition of your colleagues and your nation. “Dr. Andrew Lu AM has over 20 years of experience as a dispute resolution lawyer and partner in national law firms.
